Troop 150, Sparta, New Jersey, is chartered by the Kiwanis Club of Sparta. Our historical charter partner has been the Sparta United Methodist Church and we continue our great working relationship with SUMC. We meet at that location on Monday nights in Demarest Hall at the church. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM and end at 8:30 PM. While membership is comprised mostly of boys from Sparta, we have or have had scouts from many surrounding communities, including Ogdensburg, Lafayette, Jefferson, Byram, Andover, and beyond participate in our program. Fulfilling the promise of a boy-led program, the Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leaders, through a monthly PLC meeting, plan the weekly program with the assistance of the troop Instructors.
